Transferring Fostering Agency
Already fostering? We’d love you to consider transferring to us if you think we’re a better fit for your values and you think we can better support your foster family.
We understand that changing agencies is a big decision, particularly if you have children already placed with you. We’ll work closely with your current agency and local authority to make the transition as smooth as possible.
There are a number of fostering organisations, many of these are impersonal, profit making agencies. We’re a community organisation, started by an experienced Charity, that really does care about children and young people and puts them first. By transferring to us, you’ll be helping build a new ethical fostering agency that wants to better support children and foster parents. We aren’t a flash agency with expensive offices, company cars and paying six figure salaries; we invest all of our money in helping local children.
Receive up to £543 per week per child placed
If your agency pays more than us per week, we’ll consider matching your current rate for 12 months if you complete mentoring training and support new foster parents in our network. If you are on a special rate because of how the placement has been commissioned, we will explore matching that with the council that commissioned the placement.
Our support package for foster parents also includes 18 days of short-break care and birthday, Christmas and school holiday payments. More information about our support can be found here.

You’ll be joining an agency small enough to provide personalised support but big enough to change the lives of children.
As a charity-owned, not-for-profit fostering agency, every penny we receive goes directly toward supporting local children and families—just as it should. By fostering with us, you’ll be helping to challenge the profit-driven fostering market and ensure more resources go where they belong: to the children in care.
We offer a range of support services to help your foster children thrive, including access to befriending services, 24/7 support and activities designed to promote happiness and well-being. We’re also committed to helping young people make a smooth transition to independent living and providing ongoing support as they navigate life beyond care.
As a foster parent, you deserve the right tools, knowledge, and support to succeed. Being a local agency with an office in Hartlepool, we’re always here for you.
