What is Foster Care?
Foster care means providing a caring and stable home for children and young people who cannot safely live with their own parents or relatives.
You could foster babies, children, or teenagers, though with Changing Future Fostering, you’ll most likely care for older children and young people. As a foster parent, you’ll receive expert training, ongoing support, and a generous allowance to cover expenses and meet the needs of the child or young person. Children and young people enter foster care for many different reasons, but they all need a loving and supportive home where they can feel safe.
Some children who need foster care have experienced difficult circumstances, such as neglect or emotional, physical, or sexual abuse. Many have been separated from the parents they love and placed in an unfamiliar home with people they don’t yet know or trust. This can make fostering very different from parenting your own children. While they may not immediately warm to you, they deeply need your love, clear boundaries, and the stability you can provide.

Being a foster parent is one of the most rewarding and meaningful experiences you can have.
While it can be challenging at times, you’ll receive extensive training and ongoing support to help you succeed. Our goal is to empower you to provide the best possible care, enabling the young people you foster to thrive and pursue their dreams. Our training and support programs are thoughtfully designed, drawing on insights from experienced foster parents and young people who have been in care.

Types of Fostering
